Overview - Distance Learning/Cyber Courses
from the Epidemiology Biostatistics and Clinical Research Methods
Summer Session
Update: At this time, the Cyber Session courses are undergoing
re-accreditation and are not available for CME/other
accreditation for VA employees. Please contact Richard
Darby at Northport EES for more information.
However, you can still view the courses as streaming video through
UWTV (University

please go to the University
of Washington TV Web site.
If you have other questions or need more information, please don't
hesitate to contact the ERIC, and thank you for your
interest in Cyber Session-Distance Learning courses.
Eight epidemiology, biostatistics and clinical
research methods courses are available as distance/cyber
learning opportunities. The Seattle
Epidemiologic Research
and Information Center, VA Employee Education System
and Department of Veterans Affairs sponsor these courses.
They will be broadcast
by VAKN satellite and VA CDN as scheduled and will
also be available for Web streaming from the UWTV Web
site.
Continuing education credit
is available for each course. Course registrants
receive a comprehensive course syllabus including lecture PowerPoint
slides, reference articles
and relevant examples. Textbooks are required for
some courses. VA employees can register through the VA Employee Education
System, and
non-VA employees through the University of Washington
Online Learning Program.
